Gandolfini 'Carnage' matinee cancelled

The matinee performance of God Of Carnage was cancelled on Wednesday after James Gandolfini was ordered to rest his voice by doctors.

The Sopranos star was unable to perform in the early run-through of Yasmina Reza's Broadway comedy, but he returned to the play for that evening's showing.

Currently in previews, the play will officially open on March 22 at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre.

God Of Carnage co-stars Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis and Marcia Gay Harden.
