Beverly Hill's police confirmed that they were hunting the actress at the end of last week in relation to a 2007 drink driving conviction.
Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said that the court at the centre of the legal case have made a mistake, reports The Sun.
She said: "Since her case was resolved, Ms. Lohan has been in compliance with all the terms and conditions of her probation and all orders of the court. The warrant issued on Friday was, in our view, born out of a misunderstanding which I am confident I can clear up next week."
An L.A. attorney earlier suggested that the warrant could have been due to failure to meet with her probation officer, or failure to complete a mandatory drug test, required under Lohan's 2007 sentence.
