MacIntyre organises celebrity ice hockey

Dancing On Ice's Donal MacIntyre has revealed that he is organising a charity celebrity ice hockey match.

The investigative journalist, 42, said that he was hoping to recruit Ellery Hanley, Graeme Le Saux and Todd Carty for the fundraiser. Dancing On Ice alumni Chris Fountain and David Seaman will also be asked to take part in the game, which may coincide with November's Children In Need.

"I want to make it a massive charity event with entertainment at half-time," he told The Sun. "Torvill and Dean would be perfect. They're national treasures and it would be lovely to get them on the ice."

He added: "I've fallen in love with skating and I'm a big fan of hockey, so this is perfect."

MacIntyre also revealed that he was aiming to get Roxanne Pallett and Melinda Messenger to provide some "half-time glamour" at the event.
