Comic actors Paul Rudd and Jason Segal have confirmed that they will not be joining micro-blogging site Twitter.

The duo are currently promoting I Love You, Man: Are You Saying It Enough? at the South by Southwest Film Festival.

When asked about the celebrity trend, Rudd said: "I'm afraid of the internet. I'm too old to tweet. So I don't tweet, I tw-t."

Segal joked: "If I didn't talk to you in high school, I don't need to talk to you you now."

The pair's co-star Rashida Jones added: "I don't need to invite stalkers into my life. I just don't really see the point."

However, director Jon Favreau defended the popular social networking site, claiming that the it was a great way for movie stars to promote small-budget films. Favreau kept a Tweet blog of the press conference and posted pictures of his co-stars on the site.
