Rhys Meyers 'back at work after rehab'

Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers has reportedly checked out of rehab following a two-week stay for treatment to alcohol addiction.

According to the Irish Independent, the actor has left the exclusive Causeway Retreat on Osea Island, Essex, to return to work in Los Angeles.

"He is back in L.A. and he is back at work, insofar as he is holding meetings with various parties about upcoming projects," revealed an unnamed friend of the star.

"He recognised that he needed help and hopefully now he is back on the straight and narrow. It is something that he finally accepted within himself that he has to deal with.

"[Jonathan] will continue to get help now and the people around him will work to keep him going on the right track."

The Irish actor, 31, previously vowed to remain sober after he was arrested at Dublin Airport in November 2007 for being drunk and in breach of the peace.
