Brosnan voted 'sexiest Irish celebrity'

Pierce Brosnan has been named Ireland's sexiest celebrity, according to a new poll in honour of St. Patrick's Day.

The Mamma Mia! actor received 14% of the vote, beating competition from Colin Farrell and singer Andrea Corr to be crowned the nation's most attractive star.

"Pierce Brosnan has obviously become the housewives’ favourite after his singing debut on Mamma Mia!," said Eulogy! CEO Adrian Brady, who carried out the survey for YouGov.

"The success of the film has introduced him to a whole new audience after Bond."

Other celebrities to make the top 20 included radio star Terry Wogan, who nabbed 2% of the overall total, and musicians Bono and Bob Geldof, who each received 1%.
