Darth Vader actor praises Goody's work

Star Wars actor David Prowse has paid tribute to fellow cancer sufferer Jade Goody for raising awareness of the illness.

The 73-year-old, who played the iconic villain Darth Vader, told The Daily Telegraph that Goody should be "commended for her achievements".

"[She] should be thoroughly proud of raising the awareness of cervical cancer," he said. "She has done more than anyone else in memory to convince women to go for regular tests."

Prowse, who revealed that he was battling prostate cancer earlier this week, added that he would be very happy if he could do the same for men.
