Spacey new face of American Airlines

Kevin Spacey has been unveiled as the new face of American Airlines.

The American Beauty actor stars in three TV adverts for the company, which will premiere on UK screens later this week.

Part of the 'Discerning Customers' campaign, the one 40-second and two 20-second clips see Spacey follow in the footsteps of Sopranos actor James Gandolfini in promoting the brand.

VP Maria Sebastian said: "We are delighted to have Kevin Spacey as the new face of American Airlines and to extend the existing relationship which sees us sponsoring London's Old Vic Theatre.

"Like our customers, American has long supported the arts, including sponsorship of BAFTA and bars in Nimax Theatre Group theatres around London and as a result we believe the adverts will be successful in both raising awareness and an increased understanding of our brand and services."
