Ashanti 'bared bottom on red carpet'

Ashanti has revealed that she was once left red-faced when her dress split on the red carpet.

The R&B singer, who released her last album The Declaration in 2008, admitted that the press and public saw her exposed bottom as she chatted to reporters.

"You could see my butt," Contactmusic quote her as saying.

"While I was doing interviews on the red carpet the seamstress was behind me sewing up the hole in my dress."

Ashanti was last year embroiled in controversy after her website ran stories about a fake murder spree to promote her single 'The Way That I Love You'.
