Mel B invests in French film TV channel

Melanie Brown has invested in a new television channel which screens nothing but French films.

The former Spice Girl was apparently introduced to the works of auteurs such as Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut and Claude Chabrol by her husband Stephen Belafonte.

According to The Sun, Brown was so taken by the French works that she has backed Sky's CineMoi channel, which is devoted in its entirety to films from the European country.

"This is a great opportunity to expand my business activities. It is a unique venture," Brown explained.
