Speaking to The Mirror, the former glamour girl paid tribute to her friend, describing her "bravery" in coping with the illness as "so inspiring".
"She was a great girl - her death really was tragic...I think there should be a Jade legacy set up and I’d be honoured to be involved and continue the work she did in raising awareness of cervical cancer," she said.
Price, who will run next year's London Marathon in honour of the reality star, added: "Her situation has made me book a smear test. I’d always thought, as a mother, I was immune. But I realise I’m at risk just like any other young woman."
Other celebrities to have praised Goody's contribution to raising awareness include Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Star Wars actor David Prowse, who recently revealed that he was battling prostate cancer.
