Rihanna wants Brown to make TV apology?

Rihanna has reportedly called on Chris Brown to apologise on television for his alleged assault on her last month.

The 'Umbrella' singer has been in regular contact with Oprah Winfrey since the February 8 incident and believes a public apology on the US personality's chatshow could help mend their tattered relationship, Bang Media reports.

R&B singer Brown has been charged with assault and making criminal threats to Rihanna, real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty, and is scheduled to be arraigned on April 6.

An insider told Look: "Chris said 'no' at first, but bought himself some time by saying he needed to think about it with his mother Joyce. But he's desperate to win over the American public and he's realised this could be the perfect way."

Brown's friend Tyrese Gibson recently said that the 19-year-old was struggling to cope with negative press coverage surrounding the alleged incident.
