50 Cent distanced from Twitter account

Updates on 50 Cent's Twitter account are written by his internet business manager, it has emerged.

Chris 'Broadway' Romero told The New York Times that the hip-hop star rarely visits the site and that it is him who writes the posts. He added that he takes quotes from interviews that the 'In Da Club' hitmaker has given and uses them for the site.

"He [50 Cent] doesn't actually use Twitter. But the energy of it is all him," Romero said.

The 33-year-old, real name Curtis James Jackson III, recently pulled out of the new Sylvester Stallone film The Expendables, explaining that his music commitments take precedent.
