'Ugly Betty's Ortiz ready for baby girl

Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz is preparing for her newest role as a mother.

The actress, who said that she feels "phenomenal" about the news, has been craving French toast, pancakes, citrus and fruits, People reports.

Ortiz revealed that she has been busy prepping and designing a room for the baby girl, due in July.

"I just met with the decorator today. I didn't want it too frilly frou-frou, too canopy princess-y," she said. "So we're doing a sort of eco-friendly, beautiful room. I'm not sure of the colour palette yet, but it's going to be gorgeous."

Her upcoming baby shower will be hosted by Ugly Betty co-stars America Ferrera and Vanessa Williams.

"A friend of mine owns Green Baby, so Ana has all the green baby products she could ever want," Williams said. "But my gift to her was the catering. I've got a wonderful woman who is going to cater. I said, 'Please allow me to do that'."

Ortiz said that she is "flabbergasted" that Williams would offer such a generous gift for her baby shower, before adding of her pregnancy: "I've had a great experience so far. Talk to me in another month."
