The Crash star was arrested by police in Newbury, Vermont, after racing through a 65mph zone on December 30. He was later charged with careless and negligent operation of a vehicle.
Dillon, 44, was originally thought to have entered a plea of not guilty, but reportedly chose to plead guilty and pay the fine in exchange for prosecutors dismissing the case and the charge of negligent operation.
Police documents revealed that the star had told the approaching officer that he had made a mistake, saying: "I screwed up, I know, I know."
He had faced a maximum sentence of 12 months in prison and a $1,000 fine.
