Natalie Cole receives organ donor offers

Natalie Cole has received a number of emails from members of the public offering to donate her a kidney if their organ is compatible with her body.

The singer appeared on CNN's Larry King Live to talk about the difficulties she has experienced since she was diagnosed with hepatitis C last February.

King said: "These are all emails from dozens, dozens of people offering to be tested to see if they can match, who want to give you a kidney."

Cole replied: "There are some great human beings out there. That's all I can say. I'm on a very long list, which is why we are looking to donors."

The daughter of legendary performer Nat King Cole revealed that she had been on tour despite her condition, having had dialysis treatment at centres in Istanbul, Milan, Indonesia, Manila and London.
