Lawyer: 'No law can stop Madonna adoption'

Speaking to Us Weekly, Alan Chinula revealed that he was confident that the singer would be granted custody of four-year-old Chifundo 'Mercy' James at Friday's hearing.
"I am not sleeping sleepless nights over this. I don't see any law in Malawi that can stop this adoption," he said.
"[The girl's uncle] has already signed off the consent forms and Madonna counter-signed them...She just has to wait to hear from me when I get the result."
Earlier this week, Madonna denied reports that she was using her fame to fast-track the adoption process, insisting that she was "following all required procedures".
