Obama asks Rowling for autograph

Barack Obama reportedly asked J.K. Rowling for her signature when they met at Downing Street this week.

The US President is said to be a big fan of the Harry Potter novels and apparently read all of the books with his daughter Malia.

Obama and his wife Michelle were attending an official reception prior to a G20 summit head-of-state dinner when he met the writer behind the boy wizard tales.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Rowling was asked for her autograph a second time by Russia's President Medvedev and his wife Svetlana, who also said they had read her books.

Rowling was among a number of celebrities in attendance at the dinner, which was cooked by TV chef Jamie Oliver.
