The actor was taken to hospital yesterday after falling on stage during a matinee performance of Entertaining Mr Sloane at London's Trafalgar Theatre.
His spokesman later revealed that the Gavin & Stacey star was suffering from a bug coupled with exhaustion.
According to the BBC, the spokesman said that he is feeling "much better" and will decide when to return to his role on a "day-by-day basis".
Entertaining Mr Sloane opened in January and will run until April 11. Understudies are confirmed to stand in for both Horne and co-star Imelda Staunton, who has also been feeling unwell.
