Kirsty Gallacher has revealed that she is reassessing her life after being touched by the death of Jade Goody.

The TV host, who has a two-year-old son Oscar, felt devastated when she heard that Goody had lost her battle with cervical cancer two weeks ago.

Speaking to The Mirror, Gallacher admitted: "The news about Jade was very distressing. We used to share the same agent and I met her. She was lovely and full of life.

"It's horrific to think her two sons are now without a mum. It makes me think of Oscar and how he'd cope without me. It makes me so upset."

The Saturday Night Takeaway star added that she has stopped worrying about her life after watching Goody's public fight against her illness.

"I've never talked about this before but I used to suffer from panic attacks. As a mum you try and be a superwoman," she explained. "I'm an obsessively tidy person but now I tell myself: 'Does it really matter if the house is messy?'

"You can't live like that and things are put into perspective when you read tragic stories like Jade's. You think: 'What I've got is so precious. I've got a really lovely life'."
