Efron parents had 'passionate' sex chat

Zac Efron has admitted that his parents were "passionate" talking to him about sex.

The 17 Again actor claimed that it was important for adults to inform their children about contraception and the importance of safe sex in a relationship.

"I just feel like my dad, at one point, had that conversation with me and my little brother, and always delivered it very well. He was very passionate about it," Music-News quotes him as saying.

The actor revealed that his mother was shocked when she recently saw a picture of him and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens apparently leaving a sex toy shop.

"My mum is like, 'Zac, what did you buy in a sex shop?' I was like, 'Mum, calm down, it's not a sex shop'. She wouldn't have any of it," he said.

"She's like, 'I knew you were being sexual!' But she understood. My stocking was full of condoms this Christmas. She buys me the economy box."

Efron and Hudgens have been dating since filming High School Musical in 2005.
