According to the Wall Street Journal, the couple have agreed to put their names to a line of scents after rapper Jay-Z's company Iconic Fragrances LLC signed a contract with Parlux Fragrances LLC.
A Parlux spokesperson is quoted by Contact Music as saying that the deal will "make an indelible impression in the fragrance industry".
It is thought that the perfumes will be available by summer 2010.
Other stars to have previously signed similar deals include Jessica Simpson, Queen Latifah and Paris Hilton.
