MacPherson 'downsizes her lifestyle'

Elle MacPherson has downgraded her lavish tastes due to the current global economic crisis, Wenn reports.

The Australian supermodel, who earns an income from a profitable lingerie business and modelling campaigns, is reported to have cut down on her car purchases.

“I've been consumer conscious for a while,” she said. “I traded in my Range Rover for a Lexus and I either bike or take my Fiat Bambino on the school run.

"My only extravagance is art. It always has a place in my budget. All the artists I love - Lucian Freud, Jean-Michael Basquiat, Tracey Emin, Richard Prince - I’ve invested in.”
