Kanye West's trainers sell out

Kanye West’s highly-anticipated trainers collection the Air Yeezys has completely sold out.

The rapper teamed up with Nike to launch an exclusive line for spring 2009 and said that he hopes its success means the brand will grant him a second opportunity to design.

He told Complex Magazine: "If Nike gave me the opportunity to be in there creating… I'm not saying that I think I'm the best designer in the world, but what I'm saying is that I think I can become that."

West expressed his gratitude to fans by releasing a video, saying: "I want to thank everyone that went out and supported and cop the Yeezys. A lot of people had to pay overprice. Next time, I'm going to do the Yeezy II's!"

The limited edition trainers can be found on eBay ranging from $98.99 (£67) to $1,650.00 (£1,120).
