Cyrus co-star 'couldn't eat before meeting'

Miley Cyrus's co-star in Hannah Montana: The Movie has admitted that he was so nervous about meeting her that he could not eat for an entire week beforehand.

Lucas Till, who stars as Cyrus's boyfriend Travis Brody, told MTV News that he was stunned when he was invited to screen-test opposite the Disney actress in Los Angeles.

"I actually put myself on tape in Atlanta thinking, 'Yeah, right. This isn't going to happen'. Then a couple of days later, I got a call back to go to Nashville, and I was like, 'Wow, what? But it's still not going to happen,'" he explained.

"A couple days later, I got a call saying I'm flying out to LA to screen-test with Miley. My head was blown at that point...the full week before I met her, I couldn't really eat much."

Discussing his future, the 18-year-old said: "I would like to be on [Cyrus's] level of fame but with respect...I don't want to have just the fame without personal respect for your privacy."

Hannah Montana: The Movie opens in the US on Friday and in the UK on May 1.
