Oprah warns against bogus giveaway

A message from Winfrey and the US government on the talkshow host's website addressed one of an estimated 12 bogus giveaways attributed to the media mogul.
The 'Oprah Millionaire Contest Show' lures potential victims by informing them by email that they have been "nominated" to appear on an episode of Winfrey's show where $1 million will be awarded.
Harpo Productions said in a statement: "The company and the show are neither sponsors nor do we have any involvement whatsoever with this e-mail solicitation."
