Rihanna's new Sanskrit tattoo has been spelt wrong, it has been claimed.

The 'Umbrella' singer had the ink done above her right hip. It was allegedly intended to read "forgiveness, honesty, suppression and control".

However, Sanskrit expert Mark Fielden has claimed that the text, which comes from the Hindu Gita scripture, is incorrectly written, according to The Sun.

The 21-year-old star recently caused controversy after it emerged that she had a new tattoo of a gun.
