Kanye West's arraignment delayed

Kanye West's lawyers have been granted a delay until May 20 to enter pleas on the rapper's three misdemeanor charges.

The charges stem from West's alleged fight with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport on September 11, 2008. The 'Love Lockdown' artist was caught on camera by TMZ breaking the photographer's flash. His manager was also involved in the scuffle.

According to his lawyer Blair Berk, the delay occurred because Monday was the first time the defence was allowed to review the police report and they are still waiting to receive any additional evidence prosecutors have, Billboard reports.

West has been charged with battery, vandalism and grand theft. If convicted, he faces up to two-and-a-half years in prison.
