Gibson 'linked to 24-year-old popstar'

Mel Gibson has been romantically linked to 24-year-old Russian pop singer Oksana Pochepa.

Gibson's wife Robyn filed for divorce earlier this week, with insiders suggesting the reason was his involvement with "a Russian musician called Oksana".

This led to some articles connecting the actor to classical pianist Oksana Kolesnikova, but Kolesnikova denied these claims.

The Mad Max star has now been connected to pop musician Pochepa, The Sun reports.

Kolesnikova said: "The only explanation is that the names Oksana have been confused. It is a very popular name in Russia."

Pochepa said: "This is serious and I hope that our union will be real and strong and long-lasting.

"We are different people, but Mel is a grown man and knows precisely what he wants and me too - I know what I want."

However, some sources have claimed that Gibson and Pochepa are not in fact romantically involved.

Mel and Robyn Gibson both cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their divorce filing.
