Hogan: 'I don't condone O.J. situation'

Hulk Hogan has spoken out to clarify remarks that he made about "totally understanding" O.J. Simpson.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, the former wrestler had confessed that his recent divorce proceedings had made him understand Simpson, who was acquitted of the murder of his wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman in 1995.

In a statement, his representative said: "Hulk in no way condones the O.J. situation. As part of a larger conversation, he referred to it to exemplify his frustration with his own situation."

However, a spokesperson for his estranged wife Linda told Entertainment Weekly that she was "taking these recent comments seriously", adding: "Hulk's serial cheating destroyed our marriage, our family and our future.

"Sadly, his recent comments remind us that his definition of fair is much different than what the law dictates."

Fred Goldman, the father of Ron, has also condemned Hogan's remarks, saying: "Murder as a solution to marital problems is disgusting, and making that comparison dishonours every murder victim and their family. Hogan should be ashamed of himself."
