Spears stalker: 'It was all a joke'

The woman who was arrested for allegedly peering into Britney Spears's California home has said that it was part of a "joke".

"The whole thing - it was all a joke in the beginning, everybody knew about it," Miranda Tozier- Robbins said of her actions on The Billy Brush Show.

She added that she was trying to gather footage for a documentary. "It was supposed to be like a 'Paparazzi 101' documentary-type deal," Tozier- Robbins said.

The filmmaker claimed her original goal was to film Spears' house from a distance, like she was "doing a stakeout." She decided to move closer on a whim.

"I came that far, I might as well go see the house, at least get the house on tape, because I knew people would be interested in seeing stuff like that," the 26-year-old said.

When asked if she was stalking Spears, Tozier-Robbins said it "would be a fair term to use", adding that she wanted to use the footage she got to finish her documentary.

Tozier-Robbins is charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct.
