Daniels hands out flyers for 'flop' show

The magician and his wife Debbie McGee resorted to desperate measures after being informed about poor ticket sales for their appearance in the Scottish town.
Despite the pair's promotional efforts, which included handing out flyers to passers-by, only 139 out of 400 seats were sold for the Paisley Town Hall show.
"We spent an embarrassing day explaining to shoppers what we were doing there and where we were appearing," Daniels told the Daily Record.
"Paisley Town Hall is used as a venue for shows but there is absolutely nothing on the outside to tell you what shows are on or coming. It is ridiculous. We did get an audience but more would have been nice."
A Renfrewshire Arts and Museums spokesman insisted: "We share a common goal with any performer appearing at our venues - to maximise attendance.
"In the case of Paul Daniels' show we followed the same marketing, email and web publicity schedule which has proved successful at Paisley Town Hall for performers like MacFloyd, the Singing Kettle and Frankie Boyle."
