Barrymore: 'Long deserves happiness'

Drew Barrymore has admitted that her close friendship with former flame Justin Long could be confusing to outsiders.

The Charlie's Angels star split from the 30-year-old actor last July and said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that they remain "dear friends".

Refuting reports that the couple have reunited, Barrymore said: "We're good friends, and we're doing a film this summer and I think it's very confusing.

"Yes, he was at the premiere in New York. We're dear friends. I guess people find it a little confusing. I totally understand. It seems like, 'What is the deal with them?', but we just adore each other. We're in each other's lives, and we're friends, and we're working together, and we have worked together."

The 34-year-old added that Long deserves "the most happiness" and that she hopes his future partners are "fantastic people".
