Everett denies going under the knife

Rupert Everett has said that claims that he has gone under the knife are "laughable".

The actor became the subject of internet rumours surrounding cosmetic surgery following an appearance on Rachael Ray's US TV show.

A spokesperson for Everett, 49, denied the claims to the Daily Mail. "Why would Rupert need any surgery? He's a beautiful man," he said. "Any speculation is completely laughable. He hasn't had anything done and he doesn't need it."

The Another Country star is currently starring on Broadway in Blithe Spirit and has recently filmed a documentary on Lord Byron's travels around Europe for Channel 4.
