Rourke cried at Basinger 'Wrestler' note

Mickey Rourke has admitted that he was so touched by a letter from Kim Basinger praising his performance in The Wrestler that he cried.

The actor starred with Basinger in 9½ Weeks and said that the note meant as much as his numerous awards for the role.

"Coming from her, it was very special and it was a very generous and heartfelt letter. It brought me to tears, really," WENN reports him as saying.

Rourke stars alongside Basinger in Gregor Jordan's The Informers, and revealed how nervous he was to meet the screen icon again after a 23-year break.
