Hilton 'presidental bid' video up for gong

Paris Hilton's spoof presidential election manifesto has been nominated for a comedy award.

The socialite's video success 'Paris For President' has been pitted against Jack Black in the Best Comedy: Individual Short category at the Webby Awards, which recognise excellence on the internet.

The two-minute clip, which shows Hilton on a sun lounger in a leopard skin bathing suit, was a response to comments made by Republican John McCain in an earlier campaign video, comparing Barack Obama's celebrity status to that of Hilton.

Black is nominated alongside Rashida Jones and Neil Patrick Harris for Prop 8: The Musical. The winners will be announced on May 5 and honoured at a gala in New York on June 8.
