The Charlie's Angels actress, who was released from hospital earlier this month, hosted an event at her home for O'Neal's 68th birthday.
Speaking before last night's event, friend Alana Stewart told People: "There will be cake and champagne. Ryan has really been there for Farrah in such a wonderful way."
Fawcett's son Redmond sparked concerns about her health last week when he told a judge that his mum only weighed 86lbs. Redmond was at a hearing over drug charges.
When asked about rumours that Fawcett had lost huge amounts of weight, Stewart said: "Farrah is not 86 pounds. Redmond is young and overreacted a little. Farrah has lost weight, but not that much. No, no, no.
"I just saw her last night and she looked better. She had colour in her face and was talking and laughing."
