Rogen took up comedy 'to have sex'

Seth Rogen has claimed that he took up comedy to improve his chances of getting sex.

The Knocked Up star said that his career as a comedian was based, like "pretty much everything" in life, on his passion for making love.

"Superbad was very autobiographical. My wanting to be funny had its roots in sex," he told FHM.

"Pretty much everything you do is to have sex. Like when you brush your teeth in the morning? It's to have sex. When you eat breakfast? Well, I've got to eat to have energy to have sex. And when I get dressed it's a case of, 'maybe if I wear these jeans, I'll be more likely to have sex than if I wore those other jeans'."

Rogen also laughed off suggestions that he was a "career-focused" actor. "It's funny that people should consider me [that]. I'm not." he said. "At school, cutting class and writing jokes was my version of skateboarding when I should have been in school."
