Trachtenberg: 'Every girl has an inner bitch'

Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg has admitted that she loves playing a bad girl on the CW drama, insisting that "every woman has an inner bitch".

The actress, who stars as Georgina Sparks in the Manhattan-based show, told People that she found it "super fun" channelling her "inner nasty" for the scheming character.

"Every woman secretly has an inner bitch deep down inside - including myself. But, with the scenarios that Georgina is in and the lines from the script, the evil naturally comes out and flows really well for me," she explained.

"I don’t take the nastiness off set but sometimes when the paparazzi get in my face, Georgina comes out."

The 17 Again star added that she was not surprised that co-stars such as Blake Lively (Serena Van Der Woodsen) and Penn Badgley (Dan Humphrey) had hooked up off-screen.

"There’s bound to be love on and off camera because actors work closely on set together pulling 16 hours a day with each other. You spend such close time with each other and everyone is really pretty and very attractive. People just tend to gravitate towards each other."
