McClure, who recently likened the talent show's producer Simon Cowell to satan, said: "Leona needs to get a grip. Not speaking is such rubbish. She became famous from one of money-grabbing Simon Cowell's talent shows.
"Why didn't she just put in hard work like most people do? There is much more satisfaction from that."
McClure and his bandmates are preparing to release their new LP French Kiss In The Chaos this summer.
