Celebrities taking part in this year's London Marathon have revealed it was a "tough" test.

Singer Ronan Keating told the BBC that he hurt for the entire 26.2 mile distance, adding that it was "hard work today".

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who was running his tenth consecutive event, said temperatures just seemed to get "hotter and hotter" as the race went on, while Keith Duffy said it was tiring but emotional.

Nell McAndrew described the experience as "amazing", and thanked crowds for the atmosphere created for the 35,000 runners taking part, which included husband and wife duo Katie Price and Peter Andre.
