Madonna and Brazilian model Jesus Luz have reunited in the Hamptons.

The singer was thrown from a horse in the US resort last week and is reported to be recovering from her injuries with Luz at her side.

According to Page Six, Madonna’s influential friends in the fashion world are credited with reuniting the pair and have even petitioned to have the 22-year-old be allowed to stay on in the States to work.

Fashion designer Marc Jacobs wrote a letter of support for Luz's work permit to allow him to remain in the country.

"Marc campaigned for Jesus, saying he is highly talented and a necessity to the label," said a source.

Women’s Wear Daily reported last week that Luz would be featured in a Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign for the autumn-winter season.

"All these fashion lines are hiring Jesus as a favour to Madonna," an insider was quoted as saying. "As long as he can legally work in the US, they can be together."

Madonna’s representative Liz Rosenberg has issued a statement saying that she was "not at all involved in managing the career of Jesus Luz. His Dolce job was arranged through his agents". She added that Madonna has not "asked anyone to help him".
