Mayer: 'I don't have a new girlfriend'

John Mayer has dismissed reports linking him to an aspiring actress, insisting that he is still single.

The 'Your Body Is A Wonderland' singer, who split from Jennifer Aniston last month, was reported to have begun romancing Hawaiian-born Scheana Marie after meeting her at a Los Angeles bar.

Speaking to X17 Online, he said: "If I had a girlfriend, she would be incredibly offended by me saying, 'I don’t have a girlfriend' - that’s how you can be sure. I could say, 'I’m not with anybody' and that’d be a death wish if you were wiith a woman.

"If you were the woman and you stepped out and said, 'I’m not with anybody', you’d have to go home and take a lashing for the next three weeks! So that’s the proof."

To prove his point, the star later approached a female driver who had stopped her car to stare at him and asked if she would be his new girlfriend, sealing the deal with a kiss.
