Tweed mum: 'Jack can't replace Jade'

Rex Features

Jack Tweed's mother Mary has said that her son will not be able to replace his late wife Jade Goody.

She told new! that Jack would not rush into another relationship when he gets out of prison after his 12-week sentence for assault.

Mary said: "I think he will find it very hard to find somebody like Jade. She was his first love and he won't find anyone quite like her.

"They were such good friends, too. When Jack was first with her, they'd be on the phone for hours."

She added: "I was shocked, because he's normally so quiet. I really couldn't believe it.

"I think he will take things slowly. I really cannot see him finding anyone for a long time."

Tweed was transferred from Chelmsford prison to a jail in Suffolk last week amid claims that inmates had threatened to steal his wedding ring.
