Amy Winehouse has told her friends that she wants to make her latest trip to the Caribbean a permanent one, it has been claimed.

The 'Rehab' singer returned to St. Lucia earlier this month after a 71-day stay on the island around Christmas.

A friend told The Sun: "Amy is fed up with all the stress and trauma that comes with being in London.

"She has made so many friends in St. Lucia and says it feels like home. When she returned to the UK in March she felt like a total outsider."

They added: "She has her heart set on one house in particular. It is massive, right on the beach and has its own big garden, too."

When Winehouse returned to the UK after her last Caribbean trip she reportedly said that she loved London "more than anyone", but her mother Janis has since said that the singer was "happy and relaxed" in St. Lucia.
