Madonna and Guy Ritchie have reportedly reached a temporary agreement over custody of their children.

Ritchie is expected to look after Rocco, eight, and David Banda, four, for three months over the summer while Madonna embarks on the European leg of her 'Sticky & Sweet' tour.

The film director is said to be surprised with the arrangement after Madonna originally fought to have the children relocated to the US on a permanent basis.

"Guy absolutely dotes on his children and can't wait to have them for a whole three months," a source told The Sun.

"He is surprised and pleased that Madonna is being so generous - as she has at times been impossible.

"Madonna will be travelling a lot and agreed it makes sense for them to stay with Guy rather than constantly be uprooted."

The pair, who were granted a divorce in November 2008, have reportedly been on better terms in the past month.
