Douglas recovering after knee replacement
Michael Douglas has revealed that he is recovering after undergoing knee replacement surgery.

The actor, who is married to Catherine Zeta-Jones, admitted that he was instructed to have the operation after developing a limp on the set of his new movie Solitary Man.

Appearing on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, he said: "I had my knee replaced, I have an artificial knee. A little bit of PVC, plastic pipes with titanium rods. It's four weeks old.

"I had a skiing accident years and years ago and it just wore down. It finally got to a point where I had a limp and I had to do it...I've got another couple of months [of recovery] but I'll be fine."

The 64-year-old added that Zeta Jones had been "fantastic", but joked: "I could not get her into the nurse’s uniform. I did try!"
