Rihanna dad: 'Chris Brown is old news'

Rihanna's father has claimed that her relationship with former boyfriend Chris Brown is "old news".

The 'Disturbia' star is thought to have ended her romance with Brown last month after he pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and making criminal threats in relation to an alleged altercation with the singer in February.

Speaking to Us Weekly about his daughter's recent vacation in her native Barbados, Ronald Fenty said: "Chris sounds like old news to me... [Rihanna is a] different person, back to herself. It’s like Chris never existed. She seems reborn."

Fenty previously claimed that Brown, 19, was "in denial" about what happened to his daughter, saying: "I just would like to see justice go in the right direction... If he’s not guilty, who did it?"

Yesterday, a judge at LA's Superior Court agreed to return around $1.4 million worth of jewellery that Rihanna was wearing on the night of the alleged attack.
