Kelis files for divorce from Nas

R&B star Kelis has filed for divorce from husband Nas after four years of marriage, reports E! News.

The couple, who are expecting their first child together later this year, tied the knot in Atlanta in 2005, following a two-year engagement.

"I can confirm that she has filed for divorce. We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time," said a representative for Kelis.

Recently, Nas admitted that his wife was expecting a baby boy, saying: "Personally, life is good. I'm sure that y'all heard [Kelis] is expecting. The internet seems to be more excited than I am. It's crazy!"
