Carey, Cannon toast anniversary in Vegas

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have celebrated their first year of marriage with members of the public in Las Vegas.

According to People, Cannon surprised the singer with a special tribute at the Palms Casino Resort's Moon nightclub, where Carey was accompanying him as he played a gig.

"It's a very special occasion... Thisis the most amazing person in the world. I dedicate my life to her daily, and together this union is gonna last forever. She is my rock," he told the crowd.

Cannon, who will host the new series of America's Got Talent, had reportedly arranged for intimate video footage of the pair to be played at the club, while they were also treated to a four-foot cake and a balloon drop.

A weeping Carey added: "I have the best man in the whole wide world."

The couple, who tied the knot in the Bahamas after a whirlwind romance, recently played down speculation that they are ready to start a family.
